Tips for buying an iPhone for less

  1. Compare the exact storage. A "$1,499 iPhone" and a "$1,849 iPhone" can be the same model in different storage sizes.
  2. Colour can change the price. Retailers sometimes discount one colour to clear stock — use the colour filter on each phone page.
  3. Previous generations drop the most. When a new iPhone launches, stores clear the old one fast. Save the phone and check back.
  4. Watch for "was" prices. A sale is only a sale if the price was actually higher recently. Our price history shows you what it really cost last week.
How we pick: prices are today's lowest in-stock price across the stores we check, refreshed every morning. Nobody pays to be included. Specs come from the retailers' own listings. How Compare Empire works
